Teti

Belgian Malinois · Female · Adult · 4 years

Teti is looking for her happy ending! Teti is a Malinois mix female dog who was brought to our Spanish partner animal shelter in March 2025. She was found on the street and was emaciated, unkempt, and exhausted. She arrived in a condition that reveals a lot about her past: too little care, too little security, too little of everything a dog needs to live. Yet Teti has not given up. On the contrary: after just a few weeks of good care, regular food, and some rest, she began to blossom. Today, the beautiful female dog shows herself clearly recovered - both externally and internally. She is affectionate, people-oriented, and friendly. She currently shares her kennel with a male dog with whom she gets along very well. Teti loves walks (which are unfortunately rare): full of energy, curious, and with an alert look, she explores her surroundings. That she pulls a bit on the leash is no surprise: she spends more than 23 hours a day locked up in her kennel. Teti shows herself to be confident and calm when dealing with other dogs as well as environmental stimuli (for example, cars). She is open, affectionate, and enjoys every moment of attention. It is important for us to emphasize that Teti is a Malinois mix. And with that, she brings traits that must be taken seriously. She is intelligent, active, and loves tasks - mental and physical challenges, reliable structures, and loving but clear leadership are part of her happiness. Dogs like her are not for people who are looking for a comfortable sofa companion, but for those who are looking for real partnership, training, and an active life with a dog. We wish for Teti people who do not only feel sympathy for her story, but also have the will to enable her the life she deserves: with love, but also with responsibility. Teti deserves a second chance - and she is ready to accept it with all her heart. If you are aware of what comes with adopting a rescue dog, and you have fallen for her, please contact the responsible adoption officer from SALVA Hundehilfe. We would also be very grateful, and especially Teti, if you could provide a foster home. Here you can watch Teti's video. Here you can watch Teti's second video.

About Teti

What life with Teti looks like

Teti is a adult belgian malinois dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Teti, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Teti?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Teti on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Teti if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Teti already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Teti isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Teti and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
