The Shed Kittens

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 3 months

12 week old kittens who were rescued from a shed at 6 weeks old. The shed kittens are almost ready to find their new homes (in pairs). They were found in a shed which was being dismantled, at just 5-6 weeks old. They have come a long way from the frightened and sometimes hissy kittens that came into foster nearly 6 weeks ago. They are comfortable now with their foster mum, but sometimes go a bit shy with strangers. Storm is the most confident and very independent. Always ready to play and steal the limelight. Sam (black and white) and Summer were both a little hissy but now enjoy a stroke and a purr. Sky is the least confident and although very playful, she is not quite ready for a stoke or cuddle yet, but with a bit more time and patience and a sibling to help she will get there. It will be all the more rewarding to earn her trust. The kittens are now about 12 weeks old and are being neutered on Friday 17th July. They will be looking for homes in pairs once recovered from their surgeries. Please get in touch if you think you could provide them with the loving home they deserve. *No busy roads, or flats *Not dog tested *Ok with other cats *OK with gentle children over 6 years Neutered, microchipped, wormed and flead. Please ring Andrea on Monday to Saturday ONLY 9am to 6pm and leave a message with your FULL address.

About The Shed Kittens

What life with The Shed Kittens looks like

The Shed Kittens is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Pussycat Lodge in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting The Shed Kittens, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about The Shed Kittens?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pussycat Lodge handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw The Shed Kittens on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt The Shed Kittens if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pussycat Lodge will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is The Shed Kittens already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if The Shed Kittens isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pussycat Lodge early rather than rehoming privately; they know The Shed Kittens and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
