Theodore (Teddy) READING Adoption fee is £250 5 years old Tweenie (7kg) Chocolate dapple smooth coat Neutered male Teddy is a friendly and loving dog who is looking for a new home as his current family have made the difficult decision to find him a home where he can be given the time and calm, quiet environment he needs in order to thrive. Teddy is a lovely-natured dachshund who likes people and is generally well-socialised. He will bark when people he doesn’t know visit, but soon settles down. He loves attention and is a snuggle buddy – he is truly the definition of a velcro dog who does not believe in personal space. Teddy is very loving and loyal and will thrive in a home where he is connected with people and around others most of the time – although this can mean being curled up and snoozing in a dog bed while his human is hard at work earning those doggy chews! Outside the home, he is a perfect gentleman on walks with no pulling on the lead or barking. He is usually uninterested in dogs he does not know and is generally an easy-going boy. Teddy is in good health. This summer he had surgery for IVDD and fortunately has made a full recovery subsequently. Teddy is housetrained. At night he sleeps downstairs in a crate. Once settled, he can be left for up to four hours on occasion but will whine for a bit while settling. Teddy has never lived with any other animals but has spent time with another dog when he is with the pet sitter so could potentially live with another dog.
