🐾 Meet Thyme – Your New Best Friend in the Making! ❤️ Hi everyone! My name is Thyme, and I’m a gorgeous 12-week-old crossbreed girl looking for my very own forever family! I’m only a little pup, and I have a whole world of exciting things to discover. I’m looking for a loving home that will help me grow into a happy, confident and well-rounded young lady. I’d really love to find a home with another friendly, well-rounded dog who can be my companion and role model. Having a four-legged friend to show me the ropes and help me learn about life would be wonderful! This would, of course, be subject to a successful meet here at the centre. I’m also happy to share my home with cats, and I could live with children aged 5 and over, provided everyone understands how to be gentle and respectful around a young puppy. As I’m still very much a baby, I’ll need someone who is at home with me all the time initially. I’ll need my leaving hours built up gradually and at my own pace as I settle into my new home and get a little older. I’d also love a secure garden of my own where I can explore, play and enjoy some outdoor adventures. I’m still learning all about this enormous world, so I’ll need a family who understands that puppies can sometimes feel a little unsure when experiencing new things. I also like to investigate things with my mouth – it’s basically my puppy way of asking, “What’s this?” So, plenty of patience, positive guidance and appropriate toys will be important! My new family will also need to be dedicated to taking me along to puppy training and socialisation classes. I’m only little, so I’ve got lots to learn, and these classes will help me develop into a confident, happy and well-mannered adult. In return, I promise to bring lots of puppy love, fun and adventures into your life. I have so much potential, and I just need someone willing to help me reach it. Could you be the family I’ve been waiting for? I can’t wait to find my forever home!

About Thyme

What life with Thyme looks like

Thyme is a large puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Jerry Green Dog Rescue in Lincoln.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Thyme, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Thyme?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jerry Green Dog Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Thyme on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Thyme if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Jerry Green Dog Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Thyme already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Thyme isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jerry Green Dog Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Thyme and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
