Hello! I am Mikesch. I am a loving senior tomcat with a lively history. Originally, I came to the animal shelter because my previous home had to be given up due to financial difficulties and a move. My people loved me very much – and we had many beautiful years together. Earlier, I was a pure indoor cat. Later, for about five years, I also enjoyed the outdoors. I knew the cat door well, and I loved lying in the sun and leisurely taking my rounds. During a vet visit, a heart murmur was once detected. But everything has since been thoroughly clarified – my heart is doing well, and I can enjoy my senior life without worry. My beloved companion Amy passed away on November 15, 2025. We were inseparable for many years, and I carry her in my heart forever. Since the end of August, I have now found my forever home: I live in a permanent foster home as an indoor cat. Here, I can settle in peace, am lovingly cared for, and enjoy my warm, safe home every day anew. I am very people-oriented, cuddly, and clingy. Hallo! Ich bin Mikesch. Ich bin ein liebevoller Senioren-Kater mit einer bewegten Geschichte. Ursprünglich kam ich ins Tierheim, weil mein früheres Zuhause aufgrund finanzieller Schwierigkeiten und eines Umzugs aufgegeben werden musste. Meine Menschen haben mich sehr geliebt – und wir hatten viele schöne Jahre zusammen. Früher war ich eine reine Wohnungskatze. Später, während rund fünf Jahren, durfte ich auch den Freigang geniessen. Das Katzentürli kannte ich bestens, und ich liebte es, draussen in der Sonne zu liegen und gemütlich meine Runden zu drehen. Bei einem Tierarztbesuch wurde einmal ein Herzgeräusch festgestellt. Inzwischen wurde aber alles gründlich abgeklärt – meinem Herzen geht es gut, und ich darf mein Seniorenleben unbeschwert geniessen. Meine geliebte Gefährtin Amy ist am 15.11.2025 verstorben. Wir waren viele Jahre unzertrennlich, und ich trage sie für immer in meinem Herzen. Seit Ende August habe ich nun mein Für-immer-Plätzchen gefunden: Ich lebe auf einer lebenslangen Pflegestelle als Wohnungskatze. Hier darf ich in Ruhe ankommen, werde liebevoll umsorgt und geniesse mein warmes, sicheres Zuhause jeden Tag aufs Neue. Ich bin sehr menschenbezogen, verschmust und anhänglich. Nähe bedeutet mir alles – und ich bin dankbar für jeden Moment voller Geborgenheit, den ich erleben darf.
