Tilda

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Tilda Breed: Puli Mix Size: ca. 44 cm Born: 2022 Gender: female dog / neutered Location: Debrecen (Hungary) with dogs? compatible with cats? unknown house-trained? no Fee: 450,- Euro Tilda is a charming female dog born in 2022. She is a Puli-mixed breed, possibly purebred, and stands about 44 cm at the shoulder. Unfortunately, Tilda ended up in an animal shelter after her owner passed away and she was at risk of being euthanized due to developing a liking for hunting chickens. Tilda is a generally sympathetic and sweet female dog. She is open, loving, and friendly, making her a wonderful companion. Noteworthy is her cuddly nature and her typical "talking," which is characteristic of Puli dogs. Her coat requires regular care. In terms of leash training, Tilda has made progress, although there is still room for improvement. Her activity level is described as normally active, making her ideal for walks and moderate activities. She gets along well with other dogs. Her compatibility with children and cats is currently unknown, but a test with cats would be possible. A loving, consistent, experienced, and patient home is sought for Tilda. A securely fenced garden would be ideal but is not necessary. Future owners should be prepared to invest time and love in her care and training to ensure she has a fulfilling life. PLEASE NOTE:

About Tilda

What life with Tilda looks like

Tilda is an adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. in Lohmar.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tilda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tilda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tilda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tilda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tilda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tilda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tilda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
