adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Till has found his own home! His story: Sweet, sweeter, Till 😍 The sweet little Till is currently waiting in Dettingen for a new life with loving people who want to open their hearts to him and offer him a varied dog life. Till is already house-trained, and the nights are quiet and relaxed. Till enjoys the cozy bed when he’s allowed to… but still sleeps with the first-year puppy Ronja in their giant dog bed. He’s Ronja’s best buddy and they play very nicely together. He eats everything with a big appetite and tolerates everything very well. Till is very people-oriented and could cuddle and lie on someone’s lap or sit there all day 🙂 He is the best and most loyal companion. He needs a lot of love and “warmth,” but also gives a lot back. He doesn’t like to be alone very much and would need to learn that. He is the perfect companion dog who always wants to be there. Till lived in the shelter from Fantanele. Life in the shelter is especially hard and dangerous for small dogs. That’s why we were very happy that the little guy could quickly move to his foster home. Till is about 1.5 years old and only about 28 cm tall. With his sly look, he’s sure to win every heart at a glance. He has a friendly and open nature and loves being cuddled by friendly people. He also gets along well with other animals. The little male dog has a good age and a practical size and fits almost any household – as long as he’s loved and cared for. He could definitely be rehomed into a family, but a single person could also bring a lot of joy into Till’s home, because he looks forward to long walks and a lot of contact with other dogs. A visit to a positively working dog training class would surely make Till happy and strengthen the relationship between human and animal. Till can travel to his new home with an EU pet passport neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He will be available for adoption after a positive Schenke, do you give our little Till your heart? We thank the namingsponsor Mareike B. for giving the little Till his pretty name. As of: 07.01.

Stand: 07.01.2025

About Till

What life with Till looks like

Till is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Till, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Till?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Till on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Till if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Till already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Till isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Till and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
