Tilly

Jack Russell Terrier · Female · Puppy · 3 months

As Tilly is still very young, she has lots to learn about the world and will need ongoing training, patience and guidance as she grows. Any time left alone will need to be introduced gradually and built up slowly as she settles into her new home. In return, Tilly will bring plenty of fun, laughter and puppy cuddles to her new family! Tilly is an adorable 3 month old Terrier cross looking for her forever home. Like any young puppy, she is full of energy, curiosity and mischief. She loves spending her days exploring, playing and learning about the world around her. Tilly is looking for a home with a secure private garden where she can safely play and burn off some puppy energy. She can live with children age 5 and above who can give her space when she needs it. Tilly may be able to live with another dog, pending a successful mix at the centre. She could also live with a confident cat.

About Tilly

What life with Tilly looks like

Tilly is a puppy/kitten jack russell terrier dog waiting at Dogs Trust Salisbury in Newton Tony.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tilly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tilly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Salisbury handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tilly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tilly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Salisbury will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tilly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tilly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Salisbury early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tilly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
