Tim (m)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 2 years

"Ach how cute" or "I would have loved to have him," often appeared under the albums when they were still puppies, but adoption never came. That's why we want to introduce some dogs here who have lived in the shelter since puppyhood and somehow got lost in the crowd of dogs. Now it's time to shine a light on them, because they deserve a wonderful life in a loving environment too. The dogs we are introducing are all very people-oriented and open, living problem-free in the mixed dog group and are absolutely social, with cat tests being done gradually. Of course, they still have a lot to learn when they arrive in the big, wide world, as they don't know leashes, might not be house-trained, and have not experienced much. But with patience, love, and a touch of humor, it will surely only be a matter of time until they become a pleasant and uncomplicated companion. Who will give them a chance and give them their heart??? Tim, born on 03.02.2024, is about 50 cm tall and a very loving and playful fellow. He is very happy when he gets to play and snuggle with the foster parents in the yard, but these times are rare, and we still hope for his personal happy ending. Who will fall in love with our funny Tim??? Tim will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and will travel with a Snap test and EU Pass. He will be rehomed with V. All our dogs arrive in Nuremberg and would also like to be picked up here. Contact: or on fb All our dogs travel with official Trace papers and of course, we also have Paragraph 11.

DE·Show original

About Tim (m)

What life with Tim (m) looks like

Tim (m) is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tim (m), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tim (m)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tim (m) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tim (m) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tim (m) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tim (m) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tim (m) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
