Tina

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Description Our animal welfare workers report: The little Tina is searching for a home with loving dog people. She had a really tough start in life. Tina is a small survival artist. Twice she has escaped the killing station Breasta – most recently on April 30, 2026. 💔Her past has left its mark. Tina is insecure and sensitive and needs people who can read her body language and give her security without pressuring her. She looks incredibly sweet with her light brown, fluffy fur with white streaks. But – it’s important to know: if she feels trapped or under pressure, she can pinch – out of fear, not aggression. Therefore, we are looking for dog-experienced people who can work calmly, patiently, and clearly with her. Give her the time she needs and also be willing to wait a little until she comes forward on her own. With the right guidance and a lot of empathy, Tina has the chance to learn trust and open up, 💛 but at the moment, she must be taken as she is. Her life before was simply terrible, and she managed to survive. This takes strength, courage, and a portion of cleverness. The trust in people must be rebuilt, but we are sure that the right person will then have a tender and loyal companion by their side. Important: Tina will not be rehomed to a household with children, as she needs retreat and a quiet environment. She likes to go for walks, but slowly, she approaches all new situations slowly. Important are a warm dog bed, lots of affection, food, and quiet dog encounters. She wants to belong, but it will take time. Who will finally give this little fighter the security she needs and deserves? Please note:

About Tina

What life with Tina looks like

Tina is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
