Tini's story is one such. Her mom lived on the streets in Bosnia until she was taken in by humans. They wanted to give her a home and took her to a veterinarian to be spayed. Due to urgent emergencies, the procedure could not be performed immediately - and just a few days later, the surprise: the female dog gave birth to two tiny puppies. Tini and her sister Enni. ❤️ But instead of being happy about the unexpected offspring, the people were upset. They took the dog mom back shortly after the birth - even though she was still nursing her two babies. Tini and Enni were left behind. For the veterinarian, it was clear: the two little ones could not simply be left to their fate. So she took over their care and lovingly raised the sisters with a bottle. 🍼🐶 And from the tiny bottle child, a cheerful little explorer has now emerged. Tini is very sweet, open and curious. Through her intensive upbringing, she has known people from a young age and is used to their proximity. She enjoys attention and naturally wants to be involved everywhere. And otherwise? Tini is just a real little puppy. 🥰 Play, discover, make a fuss, learn, sleep - and then best again from the beginning. The dog alphabet must of course still be learned and the big wide world still holds a lot of new things for her. We wish Tini people who are aware that this little puppy will one day become an adult dog and who are eager to accompany her lovingly, patiently and with joy through life. Tini's start in life was anything but planned. Now all she needs is the one thing that will stay forever: her own family. ❤️ Maybe our little Tini can grow up with you? 🐾🏡 .fusion-body .fusion-button Interest in an adoption? About Tini

What life with Tini looks like

Tini is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Nordic Strays e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tini, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tini?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Nordic Strays e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tini on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tini if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Nordic Strays e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tini already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tini isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Nordic Strays e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tini and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
