TITO

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Volunteers had been trying in vain to catch Luisa, Tito's mom, for a long time. When they finally succeeded, they discovered she wasn't alone. She had babies. But only one of those babies survived: Tito. They are now both and need families. Tito is a sweet little puppy who, despite the difficult first months he experienced, has no lasting effects. On the contrary, Tito seems to want to make the most of everything as if he wants to make up for lost time. He's an active, super cuddly and nice puppy, full of joie de vivre. He gets along great with everyone, humans, cats and dogs. The only thing he doesn't like is being alone. Tito is a small dog who needs companionship. He needs to play, run, discover life, make a fool of himself with friends, receive hugs and attention. He craves the company of other dogs. Tito would be the ideal companion for a family that loves to move and have fun. In his perfect family, there would be one or more other playful dogs with whom to enjoy life.

FR·Show original

About TITO

What life with TITO looks like

TITO is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Association Kahlua in association kahlua.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting TITO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about TITO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Association Kahlua handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw TITO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt TITO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Association Kahlua will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is TITO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if TITO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Association Kahlua early rather than rehoming privately; they know TITO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
