adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! The delicate soul Titos is beautifully plump with her light, soft fur, her large, black button eyes, and her small ears, making her look exceptionally cute. Additionally, she has such a gentle and friendly demeanor that it warms the heart. The pretty female dog is approximately 5 years old and brings with her a delicate medium size of about 40 cm and 15-17 kg. Since May, Titos has been in a very loving and sensitive foster home, where she is affectionately called Honey. She receives the love and security she so deserves and the chance to live freely and carefree. Unfortunately, Titos is still human-shy and does not like to be touched. She tolerates gentle touches with questioning, fearful glances. However, she rather tries to avoid direct contact, not really knowing what to expect. She does, however, allow herself to be brushed and the collar put on. It is still a long way to go. It requires a lot of time and patience that she needs to build trust and open up. Titos will grow into a loyal companion with the right support and love and can hopefully soon lead a gentle life as a beloved family dog. Originally, Titos came from Romania, Baia Mare. There, she sadly waited more than three years in the public shelter for her chance, which she thankfully now received. Titos is neutered and microchipped and brings her EU pet passport. A big thank you goes to Patricia R., Ute S., and Marietta H., who all took on a monthly sponsorship for Titos. As of 25.08.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Titos

What life with Titos looks like

Titos is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Titos, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Titos?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Titos on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Titos if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Titos already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Titos isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Titos and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
