Adopt Titti

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Old age, being alone from one day to the next, not understanding why... the mother never returns and the house is cold... sadness invades them and their defenses drop... so they get sick... it's not a life for these three poor old men... the only relative who cares about their well-being is taking care of them, worrying about everything: food, care, cuddles but it's not enough... she wants a decent life for them. The cats are in Vimodrone, in the province of Milan. They are all spayed/neutered, Titti is FIV/FELV negative, Luna and Charlie need to be tested but they are still too scared of the carrier, work is being done on them, they are being followed remotely by the veterinarian (they had always been used to being with their aunt without any other human contact). For vaccinations, the veterinarian said to wait until the cats are well because they are still having antibiotic and cortisone cycles (they keep passing the cold among themselves). Right now they also take immune system supplements recommended by the veterinarian and food for senior cats. Let them have a peaceful Christmas... they deserve it.

About Titti

What life with Titti looks like

Titti is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at A Rischio Gatti ODV in Sicilia.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Titti, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Titti?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A Rischio Gatti ODV handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Titti on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Titti if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A Rischio Gatti ODV will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Titti already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Titti isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A Rischio Gatti ODV early rather than rehoming privately; they know Titti and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
