Tivoli

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Tivoli - young mixed-breed male dog is looking for his second chance Tivoli came to the Spanish animal shelter in July 2026 at the age of about one year. The handsome mixed-breed dog was found on the street and presumably abandoned. Since Tivoli has not been in the shelter for long, the caregivers are just getting to know him. So far, he has shown himself to be friendly to people and has also gotten along well with some other dogs. His loving nature already suggests that he has a great companion in him. Unfortunately, we know nothing about Tivoli's past. His previous level of education is also unknown. Interested parties should therefore expect that some things in the new home may be new to him at first and that he may need to learn some things. Tivoli is still young and has his whole life ahead of him. He should not spend longer than necessary in the animal shelter, but get the chance to arrive in a safe home, build trust and discover the world together with his people. We wish the handsome guy people who will meet him with patience, understanding and loving guidance and are willing to accompany him on his further way. Now, all Tivoli really needs is one thing: people who give him his second chance and do not let him go again. We always ask not to take responsibility for a dog lightly. Nevertheless: The conscientious decision to offer a home for a dog in need also means winning a friend for life. Here you can watch Tivoli's video Ideally, we are looking for a home for the sweet guy. At the moment, however, a foster home would be a great help and a huge improvement for Tivoli's life.

About Tivoli

What life with Tivoli looks like

Tivoli is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tivoli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tivoli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tivoli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tivoli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tivoli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tivoli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tivoli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
