Approx. 3 years old (born approx. February 14, 2023), 49 cm, 16 kg, male, neutered. Leishmaniasis test negative on March 13, 2026; will be tested again prior to travel arrangements. Still at the animal shelter in Spain. Tofee is a wonderful dog who has undergone an impressive transformation. When he arrived at our partner shelter, he was still very nervous and shy. At first, he spent most of his day on top of his kennel and would bark whenever someone approached. But with patience and loving affection, he gradually began to open up—first cautiously accepting a treat, then growing increasingly confident. Today, Tofee seems completely transformed: he thoroughly enjoys cuddles and can never get enough of them. If you stop petting him, he charmingly nudges you with a little push, asking you to please continue. This transformation is truly touching and shows just how much trust and joy for life he carries within. Tofee is a well-balanced dog who greatly appreciates both walks and playtime, yet also has a calm side. He gets along well with other dogs and already walks nicely on a leash—an all-around pleasant companion for everyday life. His past remains unknown: a fellow animal welfare worker found him alone in a rural area near Lorca and brought him safely to the animal shelter. Since then, Tofee has been waiting for his second chance. We hope to find Tofee a loving home where he can receive all the affection he now so deeply cherishes. Als er in unser Partnertierheim kam, war er noch sehr nervös und schüchtern. Anfangs verbrachte er den Grossteil des Tages auf seiner Hütte und bellte, sobald sich jemand näherte. Doch mit Geduld und liebevoller Zuwendung begann er, sich zu öffnen – erst vorsichtig für ein Leckerli, dann immer mutiger. Heute zeigt sich Tofee wie verwandelt: Er geniesst Streicheleinheiten in vollen Zügen und kann gar nicht genug davon bekommen. Hört man auf, fordert er ganz charmant mit einem kleinen Anstupsen, dass man bitte weitermacht. Diese Verwandlung ist wirklich berührend und zeigt, wie viel Vertrauen und Lebensfreude in ihm steckt. Tofee ist ein ausgeglichener Hund, der sowohl Spaziergänge als auch Spielzeiten sehr schätzt, gleichzeitig aber auch eine ruhige Seite hat. Er versteht sich gut mit anderen Hunden und läuft bereits schön an der Leine – ein rundum angenehmer Begleiter im Alltag. Seine Vergangenheit ist unbekannt: Ein befreundeter Tierschützer fand ihn allein in einer ländlichen Gegend bei Lorca und brachte ihn in Sicherheit ins Tierheim. Seitdem wartet Tofee auf seine zweite Chance. Für Tofee wünschen wir uns ein liebevolles Zuhause, in dem er all die Zuneigung bekommt, die er inzwischen so sehr liebt.
