Tofu is a kind and good-hearted fellow. He loves gentle people and becomes especially happy when he gets to go for a walk. Tofu walks nicely on a leash and is careful not to leave any area unexplored. If he feels unsure, he looks at his companion to see whether they should continue forward or not. He’s curious, intelligent, and responsive. Tofu has great affection for his humans and shows in every way that he’s a sweet guy who displays respect—something you as a human should do too. He enjoys playing together, cuddling, and just relaxing close by for a while. During his first few months in the shelter, Tofu spent time with his littermates. Today, he shares his living space with his sister Alga, who likes to take charge and boss him around a bit. Tofu doesn’t mind this—he’s a calmer guy who can let others have their space. They play nicely together in the dog park whenever there’s an opportunity to run around and pick through the many toys lying in baskets—there’s always plenty to choose from. Tofu has met several adult dogs, and in those encounters, he takes on the humble role of a puppy, as befits him. He’s also met some of the shelter’s cats and has observed them kindly. The horses and donkeys, however, were far too big for him. We’re now looking for a forever home for our fluffy little charmer, Tofu—a home where he can experience fun things in a loving and accepting environment. The home should be located in a slightly quieter area and ideally close to lovely walking trails. There shouldn’t be young children living nearby. Tofu would greatly benefit from having a canine companion at home—a buddy to support him in his new life and keep him company during playtime. You must understand that he grew up behind protective walls and therefore completely lacks exposure to the outside world. As a result, he must never be pressured in situations where he feels insecure—in new environments or around unfamiliar people. Background: In a parking lot near Footprints of Joy, staff passing by noticed a yellow cardboard box nestled among some bushes. Cardboard boxes don’t walk themselves to a location like that, so it was clear that the box contained either puppies or kittens—dumped because they were unwanted and unloved.

Tofu är en snäll och godhjärtad kille. Han tycker om snälla människor och blir extra glad när han får gå på promenad. Tofu går fint i koppel och är noga med att inte lämna något område outforskat. Känner han sig osäker tittar han på sin medföljande person som för att se om man ska fortsätta framåt eller inte. Han är nyfiken, intelligent och lyhörd. Tofu hyser stor kärlek till sina människor och visar på alla sätt att han är en rar kille och visar respekt – vilket även du som människa ska göra. Han tycker om att leka tillsammans, mysa och bara vila en stund nära. Sina första månader i hägnet tillbringade Tofu i sin syskongrupp. Idag delar han boende med syrran Alga som lite styr och ställer med honom. Tofu har inget emot det – han är en lite lugnare kille som kan låta andra ta lite plats. De leker fint tillsammans i lekparken där tillfälle finns att springa och plocka i den mängd leksaker som ligger i korgar – det är bara att välja. Tofu har fått träffa flera vuxna hundar och då intar han valpens undfallande roll som sig bör. Han har även träffat på några av hägnets katter och studerat dem vänligt. Hästarna och åsnorna var däremot i största laget. Till vårt rufsige charmtroll Tofu söker vi nu evighetshemmet där han får uppleva roliga saker i en kärleksfull och accepterande miljö. Hemmet ska vara lite lugnare beläget och bör finnas i anslutning till härliga strövområden. De minsta barnen bör inte finnas hemmavid. Tofu skulle ha stor glädje av en hundkamrat i hemmet – som stöd i det nya livet och som lekkompis. Du måste ha förståelse för att han vuxit upp bakom skyddande murar och därmed helt saknar exponering mot omvärlden. Han får därför aldrig pressas där han känner sig osäker – i nya miljöer eller bland nya människor.
