His story: Toivo belongs to the "Eleven Gang" – a litter of puppies that were rescued together with their mother from the streets. The little family lived in constant danger. When our animal welfare workers were out for another emergency, they discovered the mother dog with her babies in the middle of the street – one of the siblings had just been hit by a car. Looking away was impossible. Despite full capacity at the shelter, we took in the vulnerable family to give them a chance at a safe life. Unfortunately, a serious accident happened to poor Toivo in his foster home with his siblings. While playing and fighting with his siblings, he was so severely injured in his left eye that it must be operated on, or even removed. The treatment is to take place in a loving foster home in Germany. Despite his handicap, the sweet pup is curious, playful, and clever. He is slowly discovering his world, very puppy-like and age-appropriate. His personality is still developing, but currently, he shows himself as an open-minded puppy with a keen – one-eyed – gaze. Visually, he is something special. His beautifully flowing fur in dark brown and black tones gives him an elegant presence. The fine, light marking on his face and his soft, thoughtful look make him unmistakable. We are sure that he will remain a wonderful, special male dog after his operation. For him, we wish a loving family that gives him time to settle in and learn the dog ABCs. He needs patience, clear structures, and a sensitive, consistent upbringing. Attending a positively working dog training class would help him develop into a confident companion, especially during puberty, when the little ones quickly question everything they've learned. He is of course vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas for his new home. Due to his young age, he is not yet neutered. For his travel arrangements, he brings his EU pet passport. Seine Geschichte: Toivo gehört zur „Eleven Gang“ – einer Welpengruppe, die gemeinsam mit ihrer Mama von der Straße gerettet wurde. Die kleine Familie lebte in ständiger Gefahr. Als unsere Tierschützer wegen eines anderen Notfalls unterwegs waren, entdeckten sie die Mutterhündin mit ihren Babys mitten auf der Straße – eines der Geschwisterchen war gerade von einem Auto erfasst worden. Wegsehen war unmöglich. Trotz voller Kapazitäten im Shelter nahmen wir die schutzlose Familie auf, um ihnen eine Chance auf ein sicheres Leben zu geben. Leider passierte dem armen Toivo im Zwinger in seiner Geschwisterschar ein folgenschweres Unglück. Beim Spielen und Kämpfen mit seinen Geschwistern wurde er so schwer am linken Auge verletzt, dass es nun operiert, wenn nicht sogar entfernt werden muss. Die Behandlung soll in Deutschland in einer liebevollen Pflegestelle erfolgen. Der Süße ist trotz seines Handicaps ein neugieriger, verspielter und schlauer kleiner Kerl. Schritt für Schritt entdeckt er seine Welt, ganz welpentypisch und altersgerecht. Seine Persönlichkeit ist noch in der Entwicklung, doch aktuell zeigt er sich als aufgeschlossener Welpe mit einem wachen – einäugigen – Blick. Optisch ist er etwas ganz Besonderes. Sein wunderschön gestromtes Fell in dunklen Braun- und Schwarztönen verleiht ihm eine edle Ausstrahlung. Die feine, helle Zeichnung im Gesicht und sein weicher, nachdenklicher Blick machen ihn unverwechselbar. Wir sind uns sicher, dass er auch nach seiner Operation ein wunderschöner, ganz besonderer Rüde bleibt. Für ihn wünschen wir uns eine liebevolle Familie, die ihm Zeit gibt, in Ruhe anzukommen und das Hunde-Einmaleins zu lernen. Er braucht Geduld, klare Strukturen und eine einfühlsame, konsequente Erziehung. Der Besuch einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule würde ihm helfen, sich zu einem souveränen Begleiter zu entwickeln, vor allem auch während der Pubertät, in der die Kleinen schnell alles Gelernte infrage stellen. Er reist selbstverständlich geimpft, gechipt, entwurmt und entfloht in sein neues Zuhause. Aufgrund seines jungen Alters ist er noch nicht kastriert. Bei seiner Ausreise bringt er seinen EU-Heimtierausweis mit. Nach positiver Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro darf er in sein neues Leben starten.
