Shout Tom Tom and this handsome chap comes charging over like you’ve just announced a nationwide Dreamies giveaway. He loves a fuss, enjoys rubbing against your legs and has recently discovered that chairs and laps are, in fact, not just for peasants. Groundbreaking research. Food? Biscuits, Dreamies and licky treats are non negotiable. Wet food, however, is a psychological warfare exercise. Sheba is his favourite on Monday, an insult to his ancestors on Tuesday and apparently Gordon Ramsay himself prepared it on Wednesday. Tom also communicates through gentle nibbles. These can mean 'stroke me', 'stop stroking me' or 'I just fancied biting you'. Good luck working that one out. Picking him up is permitted on alternate Tuesdays, subject to his mood, the position of the moon and whether Mercury is in retrograde. Basically, Tom knows exactly what he wants.
