Torphée

European Shorthair · Female · Adult · 4 years

Torphée, the quiet one with emerald eyes At 4 years old, Torphée is a small tabby with magnetic charm... the kind you notice without her making a sound With her tortoiseshell coat and deep gaze, she intrigues as much as she seduces. Torphée remains shy today. The approach must be built, gently, at her own pace... but she observes, she analyzes, and above all, she progresses in her own way And there is already a little secret to gain points with her During socialization times, Torphée never misses the treat sessions! She is greedy and curious, and knows how to get close when something appeals to her A great way to build a bond with her, while respecting her need for security. She is not a cat that will immediately come for cuddles, but rather a sensitive soul that will need patience and kindness to open up. With her, every small progress has real value... and makes the relationship even stronger. Torphée is looking for a calm home, without rushing, where she can evolve peacefully and gradually reveal the true cat she is. Who would like to give her time to slowly become an exceptional companion? I'm waiting for you at the shelter for a tender meeting. Together, we could form a great team! About Torphée

What life with Torphée looks like

Torphée is an adult european shorthair cat waiting at Anim'toit in Prinquiau.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Torphée, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Torphée?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Anim'toit handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Torphée on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Torphée if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Anim'toit will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Torphée already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Torphée isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Anim'toit early rather than rehoming privately; they know Torphée and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
