Trinity

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 9 years

Profile: Born in May 2016, gender: female, neutered: yes, character: friendly, somewhat skeptical, good natured Size: approx. 50 cm In shelter since: October 2019 Hello, I am Trinity. I have been waiting here for a long time, hoping to finally be allowed to travel. To be honest, I haven't done much to earn that right. I am not a dog who tries to win people over and make them like me. You are still a bit of a mystery to me. How do I know who means well by me? I am a bit shy and reserved, but also curious. The caretakers with whom I constantly interact know that they are good people, and I don't need to retreat when they come into our enclosure. During visits, it looks quite different. I first loudly show that I don't find it so great when they approach me, but if they do, I prefer to take cover. And yet, they do make me curious. I would like to be like many other dogs here, just cautiously sniffing and allowing some gentle touches. If there is a fence between us, I might even try. I am a dog who simply needs time to get to know you. And whoever has the understanding that I need to take small steps to feel comfortable would be the perfect person for me. My skepticism will definitely melt away once I arrive with you and get used to my new home. When I then understand that my beloved people meet me with patience and affection, I will gain trust and can finally be a worry-free dog, playing and enjoying cuddles. In return, I will give you my loyalty and the certainty that we will have a lot of fun and experience many wonderful things together. That's why I wish with all my heart that you will get in touch and that I can come to you as soon as possible. So I can hope for a cozy dog bed instead of the prospect of another cold Romanian winter in the shelter. If you are interested in Trinity, please write us an email or a message on Facebook. Trinity is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU. The dogs travel vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and dewormed, and have an EU passport. Additionally, a rapid test for Mediterranean diseases is conducted before travel arrangements: Borrelia, Anaplasma, Ehrlichia, leishmaniasis, and Dirofilaria. The sponsorship for Trinity has been taken over by Angela H., ensuring a full food bowl. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!.

Steckbrief Alter: Mai 2016 geboren. Geschlecht: weiblich.

About Trinity

What life with Trinity looks like

Trinity is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Trinity, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Trinity?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Trinity on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Trinity if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Trinity already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Trinity isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Trinity and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
