TRITON

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Meet TRITÓN, the most handsome dog in the entire canine universe! This four-legged sweetheart was rescued in May 2024 from a pound in Salamanca, where he arrived as just a fluffy 7-month-old teenager. Almost a year without knowing the outside world! But don't worry, Tritón holds no grudges, quite the opposite! He now lives in a dog hotel in Asturias (yes, like a kind of doggy resort) and is making the most of his stay. He has learned to socialize with other dogs and people, and has become a cheerful, friendly companion with a heart that doesn't quite fit in his chest. He is microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, and up to date on his health record. In other words, he's been checked more thoroughly than a used car before its roadworthiness test! Tritón has adapted wonderfully to his temporary home, but every night he dreams of a forever family that will love him always. If you have a free sofa, a love of walks, and lots of cuddles to give... Tritón is waiting for you! He is in Asturias, but he can travel if it's to go to his ideal home. Adopt with your heart! Write to us if you'd like to meet the little pup who will win yours over. Share his story to help you find your forever home. Contact us at: WhatsApp: (Calls are not answered) Where every bark finds a home.

About TRITON

What life with TRITON looks like

TRITON is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Catydog Asociación in Spain.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting TRITON, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about TRITON?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Catydog Asociación handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw TRITON on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt TRITON if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Catydog Asociación will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is TRITON already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if TRITON isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Catydog Asociación early rather than rehoming privately; they know TRITON and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
