I was abandoned near the woods close to a house and suddenly found myself on my own. In search of food, I kept going back to that house. Luckily, I was noticed by an older couple who began to feed me regularly – that really helped. What no one knew: I was already pregnant. Probably that was also the reason why I had to leave my home. Shortly after appearing, I gave birth to four kittens. I hid them several hundred meters away in a small depression in the ground – as good as possible given the outdoor conditions, well hidden and somewhat protected. I then kept going back to the house, eating and gathering new strength, and returned to my kittens to take care of them. When it was finally noticed that I had given birth, we were all secured – since then, we have been in safety at the animal shelter Hallein, and they take good care of us. I can finally focus entirely on my role as a mother without constantly having to fight for survival outside. When the time is right, we will start looking for a proper home – in the meantime, we enjoy the peace here – but we are already happy about every friendly inquiry that might bring us a step closer to our happiness.

Die Ich wurde am Waldrand nahe eines Hauses ausgesetzt und war plötzlich auf mich allein gestellt. Auf der Suche nach Futter bin ich immer wieder zu diesem Haus gegangen. Zum Glück wurde ich dort von einem älteren Ehepaar bemerkt, das begonnen hat, mich regelmäßig zu füttern - das hat mir sehr geholfen. Was niemand wusste: Ich war bereits trächtig. Bestimmt war genau das auch der Grund, warum ich aus meinem Zuhause weg musste. Kurz nach meinem Auftauchen habe ich vier Kitten bekommen. Ich habe sie einige hundert Meter entfernt in einer Erdmulde versteckt – so gut es draußen eben möglich war, gut verborgen und einigermaßen geschützt. Ich bin dann immer wieder zum Haus gegangen, habe gefressen und neue Kraft gesammelt, und bin anschließend zu meinen Jungen zurückgekehrt, um mich um sie zu kümmern. Als schließlich bemerkt wurde, dass ich Nachwuchs habe, wurden wir alle gesichert - seitdem sind wir in Sicherheit im Tierheim Hallein, und hier wird gut für uns gesorgt. Ich kann mich endlich ganz auf meine Rolle als Mama konzentrieren, ohne draußen ständig ums Überleben kämpfen zu müssen. Wenn dann die Zeit reif ist, machen wir uns auf die Suche nach einem richtigen Zuhause - bis dahin genießen wir hier die Ruhe – freuen uns aber schon über jede freundliche Anfrage, die uns vielleicht schon ein Stück näher an unser Glück bringt. ,
