Adopt Trulle

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten

Trulle has been homeless in Arbrå for years. He was first noticed in April 2021, and then he was probably a cat and people began to think where he belonged. No owner has been located since then, and in August 2024 he was captured by a private individual who received him. She made sure he was castrated, vaccinated and chipped, incredibly fine made by her. He lived with her for about 2 months, was very shy already outside but even when he came in. It’s hard to tell if he has had a home, but unfortunately he’s not. The finder came to us for help with Trulle, or Truls, which he first called, but had to change names with us because there was already a Truls in the cat's home when he arrived. Trulle is very careful of himself, he’s happy to sit in the window and look out but doesn’t want any contact with us volunteers. He likes cat goodies, so we think the way to his heart is through goodies, so we work on winning his trust. Trulle’s future home must be understood that he is timid and it will take a lot of time and dedication to getting him safe. Please submit a notification of interest to Trulle and we will call and tell you more, we will gladly book a visit so you can come and meet him. Report interest »

About Trulle

What life with Trulle looks like

Trulle is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Djurskyddet Bill & Bull Söderhamn in Sweden.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇸🇪Adopting from Sweden

Swedish shelters require an adoption application and home visit. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized. Cross-border placements within the EU use the standard pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Trulle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Trulle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Djurskyddet Bill & Bull Söderhamn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Trulle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Trulle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Djurskyddet Bill & Bull Söderhamn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Trulle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Trulle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Djurskyddet Bill & Bull Söderhamn early rather than rehoming privately; they know Trulle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
