Tudor

German Shepherd · Male · Adult · 4 years

Tudor ID-Nr: 1047733 Breed: German Shepherd Age: ca. 07/2023 Gender: male shoulder height: 70 cm neutered/Sterilized: Yes Location: Marbella (Spain) Inquiry Form Tudor – cheerful German Shepherd seeks active people Tudor (ca. 07/2023, ca. 70 cm) was unfortunately given up by his previous owner. The exact reasons are unknown to us, but we know that this magnificent German Shepherd is an absolutely wonderful dog. Tudor is a thoroughly cheerful fellow, who impresses with his beautiful appearance and exemplary behavior. He is very people-oriented, and although he shows a bit of excitement due to his high energy, he is very attached to humans. The reason for his excitement is mainly due to the pent-up energy in the shelter, where he cannot fully express his strength. Tudor is a very strong and intelligent dog who needs to be mentally challenged and physically exercised daily. He loves to learn and seeks people who enjoy continuing his education and lovingly carrying on his upbringing. When on the leash, Tudor sometimes still barks, but we have already tested him in close contact, and he shows appropriate social behavior. He will need some guidance at first when meeting new dogs to ensure a peaceful introduction, so his new people should bring some patience and loving leadership. For this smart and strong male dog, we are looking for active people who can provide the structure and stimulation that a German Shepherd needs for a happy life. Those who enjoy working together, training, and lots of movement will find in Tudor a perfect and infinitely loyal companion. Tudor is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and has an EU pet passport. For travel arrangements, he has been tested for Mediterranean diseases, dewormed, and treated for fleas. About Tudor

What life with Tudor looks like

Tudor is a adult german shepherd dog waiting at Helfende Hände e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tudor, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tudor?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helfende Hände e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tudor on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tudor if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helfende Hände e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tudor already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tudor isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helfende Hände e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tudor and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
