Tulip

English Bulldog · Female · Adult · 6 years

Tulip is a really sweet, loving girl who loves spending time with her people. She enjoys getting out for her walks and meeting new doggy friends, and may enjoy having a resident dog to live with in the home. Tulip doesn't quite know how to play with toys and much prefers a cuddle, and is perfect with all sorts of handling - including veterinary. We can't wait to see this gorgeous gal living it up with her forever family. Meet Tulip, the gorgeous 6.5-year old Frenchie X looking for her forever home! Tulip is a super sweet girl that enjoys snuggling with her friends, and meeting new people! Tulip is looking to go home with secondary school aged children and over, and could potentially live with a resident dog in the home pending a successful meet here in the centre. Tulip can be a bit spooked by louder noises, so would prefer a quieter home where she can chill out in a cwtchy bed and enjoy a daily adventure out and about with her people. Tulip travels well in the car, and is house-trained so keeps her space as clean as possible! Tulip hasn't been left on her own for long periods, so would prefer a home whereby her owners are willing to build the time up slowly, while she settles in further. Tulip loves to get her nose down and have a sniffy walk, and does walk well on lead. She can pull a bit if something is particularly exciting, but she is a very good girl. Tulip enjoys her food and eats well, as well as enjoying a settle down with a long lasting chew in her bed. We can't wait to see this sweet girl in her new home!

About Tulip

What life with Tulip looks like

Tulip is a adult english bulldog dog waiting at Dogs Trust Cardiff in Cardiff.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tulip, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tulip?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Cardiff handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tulip on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tulip if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Cardiff will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tulip already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tulip isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Cardiff early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tulip and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
