Tundra

Mixed Breed · Unknown

TUNDRA IS LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING HOME! Tundra is a female kitten born in July 2024, who arrived at Pesaleidja’s cat room in April 2026 from Kuusalu. Tundra has stunningly beautiful green eyes and a lovely striped-white coat. At the cat room, she has so far been rather reserved and cautious. Most of the time, she prefers to spend her time in her nest, from where she can safely keep an eye on her surroundings. Step by step, Tundra is gathering courage and quietly making progress. Unfortunately, there are many cats in the cat room, and various people are constantly coming and going, making it difficult for her to truly feel at ease. We believe that in a calm, real home—where she can adjust at her own pace and learn to trust her human—Tundra will blossom into a truly delightful kitty. Tundra is looking for a patient and understanding home where she won’t be expected to become an instant lap cat right away, but will instead be allowed to gradually get used to her new environment at her own pace. If you’d like to offer Tundra a home, click the “I’d like this pet” button, fill out Pesaleidja’s questionnaire, and we’ll get in touch with you. If you’re unable to adopt this sweet cat but would still like to become her sponsor and help cover her care costs, read more HERE.

About Tundra

What life with Tundra looks like

Tundra is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Pesaleidja MTÜ in Pesaleidja.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tundra, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tundra?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pesaleidja MTÜ handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tundra on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tundra if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pesaleidja MTÜ will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tundra already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tundra isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pesaleidja MTÜ early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tundra and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
