adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Tur has found a home! His story: Tur had quite the opposite of a beautiful start in life. Compared to so many others, he had a home, but it was not a life of beauty. He was part of a large family who took great pleasure in beating and mistreating the small, delicate Tur. We can hardly imagine what that does to a little canine soul… Due to his past experiences, he is very shy and fearful, but never aggressive. We are therefore urgently seeking people who can help heal his little soul and give him trust in humans again. The little doggy needs mainly time, patience, and empathy. People who are willing to have no expectations of him and allow him to come in. For dogs like Tur, the everyday life in the shelter is enormous stress, and we are urgently seeking a home or foster home where he can relax and recover. Tur is a beautiful young male dog with white fur and dark accents. He has a delicate build and weighs just 6.5 kg at 35 cm. If you look into his pretty face, you might almost think he is much younger than his two years. And that is exactly what we wish for him. A complete new start, and hopefully, he can eventually leave the first part of his young life behind. A compatibility with other dogs could not be tested so far for understandable reasons. Tur travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to his new home and is allowed to go to a positive Naturally he has an EU pet passport. If you would like to give Tur a loving home and your whole heart, then please contact us! A big thank you goes to Antje! Thanks to you, Tur has the chance at the life he deserves. Status: 07.02.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 07.02.2026

About Tur

What life with Tur looks like

Tur is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tur, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tur?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tur on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tur if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tur already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tur isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tur and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
