Tura Fahéj

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

They asked for our help from the Tura village because of two dogs who were the victims of a relocation. Fahéj and Mandula were left in the kennel, deprived of food and water on the day they arrived. A kind lady came to see them; she sought us out. Fahéj is very kind, a 2019-born male Kan. He knows the fence and travels beautifully in the car, he is kind to people and dogs as well. His bad trait is that he is naughty under the fence! Before he came to us, he was treated by a local veterinarian. He is very weak and his heartworm test was positive; we have started his treatment. Fahéj is vaccinated, chipped, and neutered and can be adopted. More pictures can be found HERE!

Tura településről kérték a segítségünket két kutya miatt, akik költözés áldozatai lettek. About Tura Fahéj

What life with Tura Fahéj looks like

Tura Fahéj is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Previously had jaundice (treated), heartworm positive (treatment started), tendency to dig under fences

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tura Fahéj, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tura Fahéj?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tura Fahéj on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tura Fahéj if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tura Fahéj already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tura Fahéj isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tura Fahéj and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
