Twig

Mixed Breed Cat · Male · Kitten · 1 month

Meet Twig, Pip, Plum, Seed, Pear & Fig. These six adorable kittens came into our with their mum Apple. They are all incredibly friendly, confident, and full of personality. They love people, enjoy lots of fuss and attention, and are always ready for a game with their siblings. They would be very happy being adopted in pairs, as they have formed lovely bonds and thoroughly enjoy playing, exploring, and curling up together. However, they could also be rehomed individually, provided they have a suitable companion at home. Ideally, they would join a family with another friendly cat or cat-savvy dog to keep them company, or a home where someone is around for much of the day to give them the interaction and companionship they crave.Once they are old enough and fully settled into their new home, these adventurous little ones would love safe access to the outdoors to explore and enjoy the world around them. These kittens could happily live with sensible, respectful children who understand how to handle and play with young cats gently and kindly. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate new family member (or two!), these gorgeous kittens are sure to bring endless joy, laughter, and cuddles to their forever home. Please register your interest today! About Twig

What life with Twig looks like

Twig is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at National Animal Welfare Trust in Watford.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Twig, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Twig?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. National Animal Welfare Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Twig on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Twig if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — National Animal Welfare Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Twig already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Twig isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with National Animal Welfare Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know Twig and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
