Tycho is a Kelpie male, born in November 2020. He was surrendered to us because he did not get along with the new child in the house. We believe he was not receiving what he needed and was very unhappy. We are now looking for a suitable home for him! We are still getting to know Tycho, but as you can see from his photos, he makes friends easily. This little guy had to live in a house without a garden, was taken for walks "when there was time" and did not get the mental and physical stimulation and challenge this breed needs. He loves it when we work with him. He walks well, ignores everything that passes and loves to move around. As you can see from his figure, this needs to be built up. He could stay alone for longer periods, but this needs to be rebuilt in a new situation. He is a smart little guy who likes to learn new things! Tycho came to us with a lot of excess weight. He is on a special diet. This will certainly improve but still needs to be worked on. For Tycho, we are looking for a home where he can be part of the family and where he can finally be worked with. Nice walks, playing, ... He is also looking for a home where he can enjoy a fenced garden. This home can be shared with a stable female. Then there will be a matching in our shelter. He also lived with cats, so we think this is definitely possible again. We will test this later again in our shelter! Tycho finds small children a bit scary. Therefore, he will not be placed in a family with children under 12 years old.

AchtergrondDeze knappie is Tycho. Tycho is een Kelpie reu, geboren in november 2020. Hij werd aan ons afgestaan omdat hij niet goed zou reageren naar het nieuwe kind in huis. Wij denken eerder dat deze kerel helemaal niet kreeg wat hij nodig had en enorm ongelukkig was. We gaan nu op zoek naar een gepaste thuis voor hem!KarakterWe zijn Tycho nog volop aan het leren kennen, maar zoals je op z’n foto’s kan zien, legt hij vlotjes contact. Dit kereltje moest leven in een woning zonder tuin, er werd ‘wanneer er tijd was’ eens mee gewandeld en kreeg niet wat dit ras zo erg nodig heeft, namelijk mentale en fysieke stimulans en uitdaging.Hij vindt het geweldig wanneer we met hem aan de slag gaan. Hij wandelt prima, negeert alles wat passeert en houdt van te gaan bewegen. Zoals je wel kan zien aan z’n figuur, moet dit opgebouwd worden. Hij kon langere tijd alleen blijven, maar dit moet in een nieuwe situatie wel weer wat opgebouwd worden. Het is een slim ventje dat graag nieuwe dingen leert! VerzorgingTycho kwam met toch erg wat overgewicht bij ons terecht. Hiervoor krijgt hij aangepaste voeding. Dit zal zeker verbeteren maar zal nog wel wat aan gewerkt moeten worden. PlaatsingVoor Tycho zoeken we een thuis waar hij fijn bij het gezin kan horen en waar er eindelijk met hem gewerkt wordt. Fijne wandelingen, spelen,… Hij zoekt zeker ook een thuis waar hij kan genieten van een omheinde tuin. Deze thuis kan gedeeld worden met een stabiele teef. Dan volgt er eerst een matching in ons asiel. Hij leefde ook samen met katten, waardoor we denken dat dit zeker ook weer mogelijk kan zijn. We testen het later nog extra uit in ons asiel!Tycho vindt kleine kinderen wat spannend. Daarom wordt hij niet geplaatst in een gezin met kinderen onder de 12 jaar.
