Hi, I’m Uki! 🐾 I’m a 6 year old ShiChi with a big heart and plenty of love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who enjoys spending time with his people, then I could be the perfect boy for you! I can be a little nervous when meeting new people for the first time, but give me a little patience and kindness and I soon realise that you’re a friend. Once I’ve warmed up to you, my loving personality really shines through and I enjoy spending time with my favourite humans. I’m a very affectionate lad who enjoys attention and being around the people I trust. Whether it’s joining you for a quiet evening, enjoying some fuss, or simply being by your side, I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my people. One thing that has really surprised the kennel team is my size! I arrived with my doggy family, and while they’re all tiny little things, I’m quite a bit bigger than the rest of them. Nobody quite expected me to be the giant of the family, but that just means there’s more of me to love! Despite being the bigger one of the bunch, I’m still a gentle and sweet-natured boy who enjoys making friends and getting attention from the people around me. I’m currently living with my doggy family, so I may be able to live with another dog in my new home following successful introductions. Now, I do have one little habit that might sound familiar to small dog owners! When I’m out on walks, I can be a bit barky when I see other dogs. I’m a typical little dog who likes to let everyone know I’m there. But please don’t let that put you off – underneath that barky exterior is a lovely, affectionate boy who enjoys the company of other dogs and has happily lived alongside them. When it comes to cats, I’ve never actually met one before, so the kennel team aren’t sure whether I’d be able to live with a feline friend or not. I’ve also been around children before and have enjoyed being part of family life, so I could potentially live in a home with children who are respectful and understand that I may need a little time to settle in and build my confidence. The kennel team are still getting to know me, so as they learn more about my personality, likes, dislikes, and ideal home, they’ll update my profile with even more information.
