Adopt Uno ist vermittelt

Unknown · Young · 2 years

Uno is a white-black mixed Dalmatian born on July 31, 2024, and he is unneutered. Update: January 11, 2026 - Uno has taken the heart of his foster home and can stay. In December, he had a mini seizure after an attempt to reduce his medication. Unfortunately, he will need medication for life. We are happy for Uno that despite his illness, he has found a family. Update: November 9, 2025 - Uno moved to a foster home with the option of adoption. We are crossing our fingers for him. He can start to chill now. Update: October 4, 2025 - Uno is still desperately needed. We spoke with his veterinarian about his epilepsy because he has never had a seizure. She suggested reducing the dosage step by step, as he is underdosed and should have seizures, possibly due to stress in his previous home and the presence of potential triggers in the room. Which foster home with the option of adoption would like to take him on a journey. I really don't like anyone!!! Update: September 15, 2025 - Uno was recently medically checked. The dosage can remain as it is. He has not had a seizure. He has severe separation anxiety and does not want to be alone, otherwise, he will destroy things. He is a lovable, grumpy, friendly, and talkative dog. He is desperately still looking for a foster home with time. Group cuddles. Update: June 9, 2025 - Uno is doing great, he gets Luminal twice daily and has been seizure-free. The Luminal is slowly taking effect, and his hunger attacks are becoming less frequent. He gets three meals plus a snack in between. He cannot be an only dog. He always seeks contact with other dogs. It was noticed that he does not tolerate dry food, so he is currently being fed wet food with his brother. Update: May 24, 2025 - Uno has returned to his breeder for a week due to necessity, as she could take a week of vacation. Her dogs go to the HuKita, but Uno cannot, so he is still desperately looking for a foster home. He was immediately back home. In the first few days, he had two small seizures, and the dose of Luminal was increased. Since then, he has been seizure-free. He is a super friendly, somewhat insecure dog who wants to be liked. He gets along with his siblings. He sleeps with his mother on the right - the whole pack on the couch. May 11, 2025 - Uno has a great family, but it is not suitable for an epileptic who prefers a quiet environment. His first seizures began at the end of March 2025, and since then, they have occurred every 2-3 weeks. Since April 23, 2025, he has been trying to stabilize him with medication. Diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. His development was normal until the first seizure, and he was a family dog, everywhere with them. He is friendly, more reserved, knows all common commands, and was on vacation. His breeder can only take him in emergencies, as the conditions here do not really fit. Therefore, he is desperately looking for people who can go through the next phase with him. Further seizures are to be expected before he is stabilized. Optimal with experience from epileptics.

About Uno ist vermittelt

What life with Uno ist vermittelt looks like

Uno ist vermittelt is a very small young adult dog waiting at SOS-Dalmatinerrettung e.V. in Neustad.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Uno ist vermittelt, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Uno ist vermittelt?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS-Dalmatinerrettung e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Uno ist vermittelt on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Uno ist vermittelt if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS-Dalmatinerrettung e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Uno ist vermittelt already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Uno ist vermittelt isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS-Dalmatinerrettung e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Uno ist vermittelt and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
