Urgence

Mixed Breed · Male

We urgently seek 1 or 2 foster families for 2 deaf Border Collies based in Belgium, owned by a former BorderlineCollie manager during her post-stroke rehabilitation. These are 2 lively and adorable Border Collies with a hearing impairment. The foster care can last several months, as this type of rehabilitation is very long due to the sequelae of my sister. We will naturally take care of all the expenses, food, care, veterinary, etc. I will introduce them to you quickly: TIMO (Ultimo), the black and white, 6 years old, male, adorable and very affectionate. He lives without problems with any other animal, has good education, recall etc. by sign language. PIU, the all-white, 2 years and a half, male also, a bit more cautious at first but also very affectionate when he decides to trust you. He can live with other dogs but not cats or other animals (Nacs, chickens, etc.), he also has a good recall and responds to signs. If you can help us, or know someone who can, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you in advance! Foster family proposals will be forwarded to the owner's brother.

About Urgence

What life with Urgence looks like

Urgence is an adult mixed breed dog waiting at Border Line Collie in borderlinecollie.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Urgence, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Urgence?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Border Line Collie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Urgence on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Urgence if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Border Line Collie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Urgence already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Urgence isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Border Line Collie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Urgence and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
