VALLE

German Shepherd · Female · Adult · 8 years

Special Needs: Not suitable for inexperienced people. VALLE was raised locked up on a terrace. Once she was taken out, she bounced from foster homes to shelters for a very long time. We received her case and decided to take her in to see if she could find her permanent family. VALLE is an 8-year-old medium-sized crossbreed of German Shepherd and Border Collie. Due to her lack of socialization, she has a somewhat special temperament. At home, she behaves very well, is calm, and respectful. However, during mealtime, she is very dominant and does not like anyone near her or being bothered. On the street, she is reactive to many stimuli, including other dogs. She needs a family committed to her rehabilitation and patient enough to work with her. She is a very smart dog, and we are sure that with a firm reference and some experience, she will become a perfect and balanced dog. For now, a home without children or other dogs is sought until she is more stable. VALLE is only looking for foster care or adoption in Zaragoza (no shipping). This animal is not suitable for homes with children.

ES·Show original

Anímate a conocerla!! Valle necesita estabilidad por primera vez en sus 5 años de vida. Copyright © 2026 ADALA - All Rights Reserved.

About VALLE

What life with VALLE looks like

VALLE is a medium-sized adult german shepherd dog waiting at ADALA Zaragoza in Zaragoza.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting VALLE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about VALLE?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ADALA Zaragoza handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw VALLE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt VALLE if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ADALA Zaragoza will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is VALLE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if VALLE isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ADALA Zaragoza early rather than rehoming privately; they know VALLE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
