Adopt Venom

Belgian Malinois · Male · Young · 1 year

🐾 Venom is looking for his new family 🐾 This beautiful Malinois, soon to be 2 years old, is looking for a new home due to his previous owner's health issues. Venom is a typical Malinois: lively, intelligent, and very motivated to learn and work. He is primarily a working dog who needs regular activity and tasks to be content. He loves being stimulated and has already practiced various activities such as tracking, canicross, and biting. Therefore, he is accustomed to working and will not thrive in a life of "couch potato" activities. Daily, he is also a very gentle, affectionate, playful, and human-friendly dog. ✔️ Social with other dogs ❌ Does not get along with cats ✔️ Has lived with large children We are looking for a sporting and available family who can offer him the time, activities, and guidance he needs to be fully fulfilled. A good knowledge of cynology and the breed is requested. Venom will not be placed as a first dog or in a family with young children. 📞 Interested in Venom? Contact us at 67. ❌ Please do not send messages, emails, or requests via social media.

About Venom

What life with Venom looks like

Venom is a young adult belgian malinois dog waiting at SPA Valais in Uvrier.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Venom, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Venom?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA Valais handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Venom on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Venom if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA Valais will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Venom already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Venom isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA Valais early rather than rehoming privately; they know Venom and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
