Female. Born on: 01/01/2016. Breed: European Gray and White, medium coat. When we took her in, Victoire was already an adult and pregnant, with infected skin lesions. Her health condition required urgent care and revealed severe skin problems. Pemphigus Foliaceus is an autoimmune disease that can be treated but not cured. We had to see a dermatology specialist to find an effective method. It took a long time for the old wounds to dry up and the crusts to fall off. Victoire follows a daily treatment (regularly re-evaluated), the cortisone requires us to closely monitor her diet. Goodbye treats (a shame because they help when you have to take pills) and hello chicken livers and zucchini! Fortunately, she is a calm cat, affectionate and very close to her foster family who cares for her with love. Cats: Yes. Dogs: Not tested. Children: Yes. Needs outdoor access: Yes. Son état de santé nécessite des soins urgents et révèle des problèmes de peau sévères. Le PEMPHIGUS FOLIACÉ est une maladie auto-immune qui se traite mais ne se guérit pas. Il nous a fallu voir un spécialiste en dermatologie pour trouver une méthode efficiente. Cela a été très long pour que les anciennes plaies s'assèchent et que les croûtes tombent .Victoire suit un traitement quotidien (réévalué régulièrement), la cortisone nous oblige à surveiller de près son alimentation.
