Testimonial Adoption of the cat ULTHAR Posted on July 11, 2021 by Brigit Our little clown, renamed Ulthar, was adopted at 1 and a half years old in a family where he quickly found his place... The arrival of Ulthar in his new home: Pacha came to our house on September 14, 2016. We immediately renamed him Ulthar in reference to the Cats of Ulthar, a work by H.P Lovecraft - one of our favorite authors. At the moment the door of his transport box was opened, he ran to hide in the bathroom. Initially very impressed by his new house, he spent several hours hidden under the large cage of our hamster, who was absolutely not bothered by the new arrival. When he finally decided to come out of his hiding place after a few hours, we discovered an extremely social cat, a great lover of caresses and a real engine of purrs. He has given us increasing trust and has gotten used to giving us powerful headbutts with our hands, his way of saying "pet me." Discovery of his new adoptive family: He is not afraid of anything, neither of our friends who visit us in numbers (he always takes the time to greet them by rubbing against their hands and legs), nor of thunderstorms, nor of sudden noises and movements. The only thing he fears is our fearless hamster (who is also exactly the same color as the cat; true brothers), who once in his ball takes a delight in chasing Ulthar. He also recognized his new name incredibly quickly, to our great surprise, and quickly started running to join us whenever we called him. It has now been several months since we welcomed Ulthar into our lives and we are absolutely delighted. His fur has become incredibly soft since he's been with us, a sign that he is also happy to have found a loving family. A story of love between humans, cat and hamster: Very respectful of our sleep, he sleeps in his basket next to our bed and simply helps us wake up every morning by jumping into our bed as soon as the alarm goes off and giving us powerful headbutts (we suppose he was a ram in a previous life) or paw. Anything amuses him but he particularly likes to play with what he's not allowed to touch (namely the multitude of trinkets and precious items on the shelves and desk that disappear and are rarely found again). His morning and evening frenzies, during which he runs through the apartment several times at lightning speed, always make us laugh a lot. He still loves caresses but isn't shy about letting us know with a paw or a gentle bite when we need to stop. Great predator, he only goes after the most impressive and dangerous prey: the packs of tissues he easily destroys. He is also very funny by accident and has a playful nature but is not sporty and not talkative (his rare meows are more like the adorable, not very masculine 'pouic' of a toy dog than a real meow), which suits us perfectly. The conclusion from the family that adopted him: His character only confirmed the initial affection we had for him and we are very grateful to the association for allowing us to welcome Ulthar into our lives. He is our golden cat, our adorable cat, our cripan cat and we love every moment spent with this characterful but adorable ball of fur with a tenor purr. Frequently asked

Adopting Témoignage Adoption du chat ULTHAR, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Témoignage Adoption du chat ULTHAR?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. École du Chat de Drancy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Témoignage Adoption du chat ULTHAR on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Témoignage Adoption du chat ULTHAR if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — École du Chat de Drancy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Témoignage Adoption du chat ULTHAR already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Témoignage Adoption du chat ULTHAR isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with École du Chat de Drancy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Témoignage Adoption du chat ULTHAR and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
