Viela

Belgian Malinois · Female · Young · 1 year

Viela - young Malinois mix female seeks active people Viela is a young Malinois mix female and brings a lot of energy with her. She is still at the beginning of her life and wants to discover the world, gain experience and learn together with her people. Unfortunately, we do not know anything about Vielas past. We also cannot assess her previous upbringing level. Interested parties should therefore expect that Viela may still need to learn some of the dog ABC and that her new home must show her things step by step. As a Malinois mix, there is probably a lot of eagerness to learn, willingness to work and energy in Viela. Dogs of this type usually do not just want to walk along, but need both physical exercise and mental stimulation and reliable orientation from their people. Viela is therefore looking for people who enjoy dealing with a young, active dog and learning with her. People who give her clear structures, loving consistency and security and at the same time know that the young energy bundle has yet to become an adult female. It is especially important for Malinois (and their mixes) that they come to people who are familiar with the breed or are willing to deal intensively with their needs. They are not dogs for the side, but loyal companions for people who enjoy joint development. If you are in the mood for joint adventures, training and a lot of dog life, you could find a great partner for many years in Viela. If you are aware of what adopting a shelter dog entails and have fallen for the rescue nose, please contact the responsible SALVA Hundehilfe mediator. We would also be very grateful for the provision of a foster home! Here is Vielas video

About Viela

What life with Viela looks like

Viela is a young adult belgian malinois dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Viela, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Viela?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Viela on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Viela if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Viela already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Viela isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Viela and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
