Vinka

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Vinka has found her people! Her story: Baia Mare, Romania. Poor, poor Vinka! Life just began for Vinka and then she was simply given up to the shelter. Vinka can unfortunately not stay in her home because her former owner can no longer care for a four-legged friend due to her age. Vinka had just come to her? Our Vinka is totally distraught and doesn't know what will happen to her. We can't blame her for that and want to end her nightmare as quickly as possible! Our Vinka is estimated to be around 6 years old and has a medium size with her 55 cm. Vinka gets along well with her fellow animals, whether male or female. She doesn't know cats and we unfortunately can't test her interaction with them in the shelter. Children should be old enough and know responsible dog handling. Vinka is going through hell right now. At first, she was still unsettled, but now she has turned into a sweet mouse. She enjoys human contact, is easily handled, and despite the terrible circumstances she now lives in, she is an open and cheerful female dog. Vinka is at the perfect age and has her whole life ahead of her. She is ready to start anew. For that, she is looking for people who can give her a lot of patience, even more love, and of course a big portion of understanding. Vinka still has a lot to learn, but we are sure that she will always try to show her chocolate side. Vinka is simply wonderful and we hope very much that she will be discovered soon! Vinka travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to her new home. She brings her EU pet passport. She would also be very happy with a foster home. Vinka so desperately wants a second chance! This is so unfair that she has to wait here. Can no one help her?

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Vinka hat ihre Menschen gefunden! Ihre Geschichte: Baia Mare, Rumänien. Arme, arme Vinka!

About Vinka

What life with Vinka looks like

Vinka is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vinka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vinka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vinka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vinka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vinka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vinka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vinka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
