Vinny, Vienetta & Vince

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 5 months

A kind colleague spent her afternoon after regular work on a cornfield on the weekend to catch the 8 motherless kittens after receiving a distress call. The fact that the little ones had hardly any human contact up until then made the task more difficult, but in the end the tiny cats were safe at the Melle animal shelter. Meanwhile, 3 of the 8, Vinny, Vienetta, and Vince, have done wonderfully. They are strong, spirited young cats that now just need the right people by their side. People who love them for who they are and give them the time they need. Vinny, Vienetta, the two female kittens, and Vince, the male of the trio, still need to gain trust in humans. They are now about 5 months old. We could also imagine these 3 on a farm where they would be well cared for as diligent mouse catchers. A daily basic care must be ensured for the cats. A secure area for the first weeks of acclimation would need to be available. Vinny, Vienetta, and Vince do not have to move out together, but they would like to have the company of another cat in their new home as they are wonderfully social. Vienetta (left) always seeks the company of our adult cats. In this picture, she is cuddling with Daphne.

About Vinny, Vienetta & Vince

What life with Vinny, Vienetta & Vince looks like

Vinny, Vienetta & Vince is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Melle in Melle.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vinny, Vienetta & Vince, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vinny, Vienetta & Vince?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Melle handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vinny, Vienetta & Vince on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vinny, Vienetta & Vince if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Melle will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vinny, Vienetta & Vince already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vinny, Vienetta & Vince isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Melle early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vinny, Vienetta & Vince and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
