Violet’s kittens

Mixed Breed Cat · Unknown · Kitten · 2 months

These five gorgeous kittens are looking for patient, understanding homes where they can continue learning that humans can be kind and that the world isn’t such a scary place! Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne and Eloise were found as strays alongside their mum, Violet, when they were just six weeks old. Having spent the early part of their lives on the streets during a crucial stage of their socialisation, they can be a little more cautious around people. However, they are making progress and slowly learning to trust, which is lovely to see! These little ones will need calm, quiet homes with patient adopters who are willing to give them the time and space they need to settle in at their own pace. They may not be the sort of kittens who rush straight in for cuddles, but with kindness, consistency and understanding, they have the opportunity to grow in confidence and build positive relationships with their new families. Their ideal homes will also need to offer outdoor access when they are ready and it is safe to do so, allowing them to enjoy an environment that suits their needs. If you have a gentle approach, a little patience and lots of love to give, could one of these special youngsters be the perfect addition to your home? 💕

About Violet’s kittens

What life with Violet’s kittens looks like

Violet’s kittens is a kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Violet’s kittens, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Violet’s kittens?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Thornberry Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Violet’s kittens on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Violet’s kittens if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Thornberry Animal Sanctuary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Violet’s kittens already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Violet’s kittens isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Thornberry Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Violet’s kittens and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
