Adopt Virtuóz

Rottweiler · Male · Adult · 4 years

A young intact male Rottweiler, born around 2021, was looking for help, who was wandering in the streets of Borsod, Mezőnyár. A lady did not leave him to his fate, she followed him, and eventually let him into her yard, but no one came to claim him, and she could not keep him. There was no chip in him, he had his fur plucked at the tail and squinted with his left eye. We gave him the name Virtuóz. Virtuóz is very well-mannered and a good dog on the leash, but needs attention. He has never been on a leash, he starts to circle and tries to catch the leash, but does not want to bite. Traveling in a car is unknown to him, he strongly resists and does everything to stay outside. Not recommended for first-time dog owners, children or cats. He will definitely need an eye examination soon. We are looking for experienced dog owners. We do not give him as a garden decoration or guard dog. If you are interested in adoption, it is advisable to come and meet several times. Virtuóz is microchipped, vaccinated, neutered and has a negative heartworm test. He is looking for his forever family.

Egy hölgy nem hagyta sorsára után ment, majd végül beengedte az udvarára, de senki nem kereste, viszont megtartani nem tudta. About Virtuóz

What life with Virtuóz looks like

Virtuóz is a small adult rottweiler dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Needs eye examination for squinting left eye; hair loss on tail from self-chewing; no leash training; car travel anxiety

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Virtuóz, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Virtuóz?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Virtuóz on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Virtuóz if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Virtuóz already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Virtuóz isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Virtuóz and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
