Virus

Jack Russell Terrier · Male

Pinscher crossbred Jack Russell (non LOF) Microchip number: 250269101105899 History: Abandoned. Does not get along with the family's children Character/Description: A heart to give: Let yourself be infected by Virus's good mood (the only germ that won't make you sick, just happy!) Me, I'm Virus! I'm a young loulou full of life and love to give. Physically, I'm a Pinscher/Jack Russell cross, but I've clearly inherited the charm, finesse, and elegance of the Pinscher. A bit timid at first, it takes me just a little time to adapt to gain my trust. But once the bond is created, buckle up: I transform into a real clown on legs! Very playful, cuddly, and mischievous, I'll bring joy to your daily life. I'm looking for a gentle and patient family, ready to let me evolve at my own pace. Promised I won't take up much space (except in your heart) I'm a 2.8kg and 22cm at the withers shrimp. In return, I promise unwavering loyalty and lively play sessions! I don't know much, a little thing scares me. It takes a bit of patience and gentleness. I tend to mark my territory but cleanliness is acquired. Adoption fee: 282 euros (membership included) Adoption outside France is entirely possible. The adopter must also be able to visit the foster family to meet the animal. Vaccinated: YES + rabies and passport To adopt me, please complete this form: have it completed by a veterinarian or an ASV and present it to us after signing it.

About Virus

What life with Virus looks like

Virus is a adult jack russell terrier dog waiting at Action 4 Pets in France.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Virus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Virus?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Action 4 Pets handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Virus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Virus if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Action 4 Pets will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Virus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Virus isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Action 4 Pets early rather than rehoming privately; they know Virus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
