Viviane

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt now this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Viviane can travel directly to your final destination! Her story: Bistrita, Romania. The lives of the four siblings Colleen, Aramis, Viviane, and Samantha begin dark and cruel. In January, the four puppies are thrown over the fence into the yard with their mother in Romania by Paul. The mother of the four is attacked by other dogs and does not survive. Now, their adorable little ones are on their own and wait in their foster home for the move that will change their lives. The name Viviane comes from the Latin word “vivus,” which translates to “alive.” And just like the pretty dog lady with her light brown fur and dark brown snout, she joyfully wanders around, looking for people to give her a little tummy rub. She playfully plays with her siblings and curiously observes all the other dogs and cats at the foster home, with which she gets along well. With so much liveliness, of course, proper breaks are needed, and Viviane enjoys long naps in the middle of the day. The little Viviane, at just 3 months old, is still a baby and must learn the whole puppy school curriculum. Therefore, we are looking for people who are not expecting much from her at first. With lots of patience, love, and training, she can be trained to be on a leash, learn basic commands, and be housebroken. The pack will remain small. Like her siblings, Viviane still has puberty ahead. A time when young dogs also have a bit of mischief on their minds and their hormones are on a rollercoaster. For this time, it is important to take Viviane by the paw with loving consistency and to guide her. A visit to a puppy school or dog training class would greatly benefit the little mouse. After a positive assessment, she will be microchipped, dewormed, and given an EU pet passport. She would also be thrilled with a loving foster home! Many thanks to the Penny Parade of the Ernst-Barlach-School Munich for giving Viviane her beautiful name!

About Viviane

What life with Viviane looks like

Viviane is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Viviane, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Viviane?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Viviane on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Viviane if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Viviane already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Viviane isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Viviane and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
