Vlora und Florent

Click on the image for a larger view of Vlora und Florent (neutered), Lionhead mix, 1.5 years. The two siblings were given up because socializing with another rabbit failed – however, they were also sold as two females… Now they are at the animal shelter and present themselves as a very nice and funny rabbit pair; Florent is clearly the braver and more trusting of the two, but Vlora also gains trust – just at her own pace. We are looking for a rabbit villa for both together, they can live indoors or outdoors.

Wir suchen für beide gemeinsam eine Kaninchenvilla, sie können in Innenhaltung oder Aussenhaltung leben.

About Vlora und Florent

What life with Vlora und Florent looks like

Vlora und Florent is a young adult rabbit waiting at Tierschutzverein Weil am Rhein e.V. in Weil am Rhein.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vlora und Florent, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vlora und Florent?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Weil am Rhein e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vlora und Florent on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vlora und Florent if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Weil am Rhein e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vlora und Florent already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vlora und Florent isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Weil am Rhein e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vlora und Florent and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
