How do I contact the shelter about Von Privat Blanca?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Marburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Von Privat Blanca on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Von Privat Blanca if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Marburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Von Privat Blanca already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Von Privat Blanca isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Marburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Von Privat Blanca and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

A female mixed breed, born 28.02.2022, is available for private adoption. She is not currently at the Cappel animal shelter in Marburg. For more information, please see the private ad below. The Cappel animal shelter in Marburg does not guarantee the accuracy of private adoption ads or ads from other organizations. The dog is located in Alsfeld, 36304. Here is the private ad: ● Female ● Breed: Mixed ● Born: 28.02.2022 ● Height: approx. 45 cm ● Weight: approx. 20 kg ● Neutered: Yes ● Housetrained: Yes ● Child-friendly: Yes, from 8 years and with dog experience ● Cat-friendly: Yes, if cats are familiar with dogs ● Leash-trained: Yes, very good ● Dog-friendly: Yes Blanca originally came from Romania and lived with her family since November 25. Unfortunately, she had to leave her family due to personal circumstances and is now in foster care in Alsfeld, 36304. Blanca gets along well with other dogs and sometimes likes to play with her peers. However, she does not like overly energetic or wild dogs. She loves nature walks, walks well on a leash, and already knows "heel" and "wait." She still does not particularly like wearing a harness, but is working on it and making great progress. In situations where she feels uncertain or threatened, she can quickly submit. However, this behavior is immediately gone once the pressure is removed. Then she likes to seek closeness and cuddle. Blanca is a real cuddle bug. As soon as she arrives and feels safe, she wants to please and enjoys the closeness of her humans. ❤️ We are looking for understanding people for Blanca, preferably with a garden. A confident second dog can also be present. If you need more information or have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. weiblich Mischling geboren 28.02.2022 Nicht im Tierheim! Privatvermittlung, Kontakt s. unten! About Von Privat Blanca

What life with Von Privat Blanca looks like

Von Privat Blanca is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Marburg in Marburg.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.
