male creole herder dog Born 2024 Surrendered pet Not in the animal shelter! Private placement, contact see below! The animal shelter Cappel in Marburg does not assume any responsibility for private placement ads or ads from other organizations. ________________________ Here the private ad: 🐾 Cooper – energetic, sensitive male dog with challenges seeks experienced home 🐾 Cooper is an approximately 1.5-year-old, ca. 20 kg, unneutered creole herder dog (male dog), originally from Martinique and currently living in Germany. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms. His story begins as a street dog in the Caribbean, where he was cared for by his primary caregiver and eventually taken to Germany in the hope of a safe home. Unfortunately, shortly after his arrival, unforeseen problems arose, so Cooper now urgently needs people who can do him justice. Cooper is fundamentally a very people-oriented, loyal, and devoted dog who forms a close bond with his trusted people. At the same time, he is sensitive, insecure, and can become overwhelmed in certain situations. This insecurity has already led to biting incidents: he has bitten out of pain and stress, and currently displays pronounced territorial behavior – especially towards unfamiliar people who enter his territory. He is already accustomed to wearing a muzzle, which is an important management tool in everyday life. Nevertheless, Cooper needs an experienced, confident home where his behavior is taken seriously, he can be safely led, and he is willing to work consistently with him. With other dogs, Cooper shows compatibility and social behavior in direct cohabitation. Currently, he lives problem-free with a female dog. This must be tested individually with each dog and their compatibility. On the leash, he reacts strongly to other dogs and still requires training. Cooper is an active, running dog who needs a lot of exercise and, for example, likes to run alongside a bicycle. He is used to being left alone and can also handle several hours of quiet time. A quiet, structured home with little visitor traffic is sought, ideally in a rural location, with people experienced in dog care – preferably with knowledge in handling insecure or behaviorally challenging dogs. Cooper is not an "easy" dog, but one with potential. With the right guidance, patience, and clear structures, he can learn to feel more secure and build trust. männlich kreolischer Hirtenhund Geboren 2024 Abgabetier Nicht im Tierheim! Privatvermittlung, Kontakt s. unten! 🐾 🤎 Tel. : (WhatsApp) Aufenthaltsort: 38486 Klötze ________________________ (Stand 15.05.2026) (Bilder anklicken um sie in voller Größe zu sehen!) About Von Privat Cooper

What life with Von Privat Cooper looks like

Von Privat Cooper is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Marburg in Marburg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Von Privat Cooper, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Von Privat Cooper?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Marburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Von Privat Cooper on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Von Privat Cooper if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Marburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Von Privat Cooper already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Von Privat Cooper isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Marburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Von Privat Cooper and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
