The animal shelter Cappel in Marburg does not take any responsibility for private placement ads or ads from other organizations. ________________________ Here the private ad: Daiki seeks an experienced home Daiki turns three on May 10 and has lived with me since his sixth month of life. He originally came from the Romanian animal welfare and has since experienced and learned a lot. Writing these lines is incredibly hard for me because Daiki means a lot to me. Just because I love him so much, I must admit that I can no longer do him justice with his issues in the long term. Therefore, I wish for people who can give him the security, experience, and stability he needs. Daiki is a sensitive and insecure dog. If he feels threatened or under pressure, he reacts with various strategies that can be challenging in everyday life. These include resource guarding with biting behavior, control behavior within the house, the barking of other dogs, and frustration that can also be directed back at him. For safety reasons, Daiki wears a muzzle permanently. He needs people with dog experience who can work calmly, clearly, and consistently with him and not be intimidated by his reactions. People who can recognize his insecurity and help him deal with it. A home with children is not suitable for Daiki, as children scare him. He may be able to live with cats, provided they stay within the house. Despite his challenges, Daiki is an incredibly loving dog. He is very cuddly, seeks the proximity of his primary caregiver, and enjoys quiet moments together very much. Playing makes him very happy, and he learns quickly if you take the time to work with him. In him lies a clever dog who can still develop a lot of potential with the right people by his side. Daiki can be left alone without a problem and knows how to be at home alone for some time. I wish for Daiki a home with people who have experience with insecure or behaviorally challenging dogs and are willing to give him the time, patience, and guidance he needs. People who see not only his difficulties but also the loving dog he is. Daiki has so much love to give—he just needs the right people to show him that the world can be safe for him. männlich Mischling Geboren 10.05.2023 Nicht im Tierheim! Privatvermittlung, Kontakt s. unten! About Von Privat Daiki

What life with Von Privat Daiki looks like

Von Privat Daiki is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Marburg in Marburg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Von Privat Daiki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Von Privat Daiki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Marburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Von Privat Daiki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Von Privat Daiki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Marburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Von Privat Daiki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Von Privat Daiki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Marburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Von Privat Daiki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
