Wellensittches are particularly fun and active companions. They enjoy the attention of their humans and can become very affectionate with some patience. As flock birds are very sociable, they are placed in pairs. If there are already one or more nice fellow species waiting in the new home, they can also move in alone. We place our wellensittches in both indoor and outdoor aviaries with a shelter. For two wellensittches in indoor housing, the aviary should be at least 1.60 m long, about 50-60 cm deep and about 0.8 m high (the dimensions vary depending on the aviary manufacturer) and have a UV light that is specifically suitable for birds. Daily flight of several hours with several landing sites from natural branches should also be ensured. In outdoor aviary keeping, the size of the aviary depends on the number of animals. Wellensittiche sind besonders lustige und aktive Begleiter. Sie genießen die Aufmerksamkeit ihrer Menschen und können mit etwas Geduld sehr zutraulich werden. Da Schwarmvögel sehr gesellig sind, werden sie mindestens zu zweit vermittelt. Wenn im neuen Zuhause bereits ein oder mehrere nette Artgenossen warten, können sie auch allein umziehen. Wir vermitteln unsere Wellensittiche sowohl in Wohnungshaltung als auch in Außenvolierenhaltung mit Schutzraum. Für zwei Wellensittiche in Wohnungshaltung sollte die Voliere mindestens 1,60 m lang, ca. 50-60 cm tief und ca. 0,8 m hoch sein (die Maße variieren je nach Volierenhersteller) und über ein UV-Licht, das speziell für Vögel geeignet ist, verfügen. Auch hier sollte täglicher Freiflug von mehreren Stunden mit mehreren Anflugstellen aus Naturästen gewährleistet sein. Bei der Außenvolierenhaltung ist die Größe der Voliere abhängig von der Anzahl der Tiere. Sende uns dazu am besten aussagekräftige Bilder der Voliere an die unten stehende E-Mail-Adresse.
